Conference room rentals soar at coworking sites, offering many perks
At My Space Downtown, we’re seeing an increase in our conference room rentals. It’s part of nationwide demand for specialty rental spaces at coworking sites. The big draw for conference room rentals at coworking sites is that people who work remotely or independently can have access to a professional, in-person collaborative space.
“Zoom only takes you so far,” says Michelle Sparks, My Space Downtown office manager. “Our conference room renters find that in-person discussions, presentations, and problem-solving in a professional setting create synergies and benefits that go beyond the virtual experience.”
Renters of conference rooms enjoy many benefits
Conference room rentals at coworking sites appeal to a host of workers on many levels, offering benefits such as:
A collaborative yet private space for staff meetings. With so much of the workforce continuing to work remotely, many workers don’t have access to a conference room to accommodate a larger gathering. Our renters have told us that renting our conference spaces is a perfect solution. Those in attendance are inspired to problem solve efficiently, so they can take advantage of the allotted time.
A stable setting for project teamwork. Some rentals are for multi-day periods so that teams can set up whiteboards and collaborate, working face-to-face over the duration of a project. These settings encourage focus and idea sharing. Rental conference rooms also offer access to video connections for team members in other cities.
A deal-closing space. Nicely appointed conference rooms are appropriate spaces where salespeople and various types of managers can make a good impression, pitch projects, and close deals, all while being assured such discussions are private.
A place to “up” your personal brand. Some renters treat conference rooms like a professionally appointed personal office that reflects well on the renter as a businessperson when meeting with clients. Business-appropriate furnished conference rooms make a good first impression and reflect on the renter’s standing when hosting clients.
“Customers are telling us conference room rentals are a great way to combine remote and in-person work,” says Sparks. “Plus, conference room renters at coworking sites save a lot of money by renting the space for hours rather than having long-term space rental agreements in an office building. And, we’re often much cheaper than renting hotel conference rooms.”
