Can you tell me about the business you work for?

I am the operations manager for Ares Construction, Rebuild Florida. We work with Florida’s Department of Economic Opportunity to rebuild or remodel Florida homes following hurricanes.

What do you enjoy most about the work you do?

The best part of my job is working with the customers—the people we’re rebuilding the homes for. They are so grateful and thankful that we’re doing this.  

What brought you to My Space?

My boss heard about My Space while sitting in a restaurant. We needed office space that offered enough space and privacy.

Michelle has been very accommodating—she allowed us to customize the space and added window treatments for better shade control. There are conference rooms available to use and printers that make it easy for co-workers to pick up documents.

What is your go-to tip for being the most productive at My Space?

Be friendly and attend the events that My Space hosts. It is a balance…work hard but take time to enjoy the speakers, coffees, and lunches that are offered.

What are you really into right now (pizza, biking, rainy days, etc.)? 

My two dogs and my pontoon!

What are you hoping to accomplish/try this year (work-related or not)?

I need to get more organized at home and in my personal life.

Do you have a hidden talent?

No, but I enjoy arts and crafts.

What’s your favorite part about living in Panama City? Any favorite local businesses?

My favorite part of Panama City is the sun and the beaches. I also love the shops, galleries, and jewelry stores. My favorite restaurants are Trigos and House of Henry.

Finally, if you could add one more thing to My Space, what would it be?

Adding a wine hour!!
