What is the business you own?

I own Baruk Solar, which is an exclusive partner of AC/DC Solar. Unlike traditional utility companies, AC/DC Solar gives people the power of choice. Customers have the ability to own their power, pay nothing upfront or out of pocket, and actually have a business relationship with the utility company. Additionally, they have the opportunity to sell power back into the grid—all while saving money monthly and helping the environment. We value integrity and the biggest thing for us is doing things the right way. That includes making sure that homeowners are fully educated before making a decision.

What do you enjoy most about the work you do?

What I enjoy most about what I do is truly helping people. I get to see how much money people are going to save in the long run by going solar and that they won’t be subject to a fluctuating, ever-rising bill. It’s truly a wonderful thing.

What brought you to My Space?

As our company was growing, we needed a place to conduct interviews, work quietly, and hold meetings. Since renting an entire office building is expensive, I was looking for alternatives. While searching the internet comparing prices for hotel conference rooms, I came across the concept of a coworking space. Although there was one near me, it wasn’t the right fit. The owner was nice enough to refer me to My Space—she thought it would better fit my needs. She was absolutely right. It was exactly what we were looking for and has been such a blessing to me and my team!

What is your go-to tip for being the most productive at My Space?

COFFEE! COFFEE! COFFEE! And, don't play TOO much ping pong.

What are you really into right now?

I just recently began playing tennis, and I am having a blast. (It’s an offshoot of my ping pong addiction.)

What are you hoping to accomplish or try this year?

Pertaining to the company, I hope to be blessed enough to be operating in a plethora of states, not just Florida.

Do you have a hidden talent?

Not really…but I play guitar, if that counts.

What’s your favorite part about living in Panama City? Any favorite local businesses?

I love the people. I have some really good friends here. FINNS at Mr. Surf’s on the beach is a pretty neat place.
